No More Maybe

She risked the time

her thunder heart

beating beneath the broken shine

She decided her voice

and her light—could be alright

For the lonely linger on by choice

lost to the pain of the yet to be

Shrinking from the sound her own voice

she forsook the road to her destiny

She chanced a heart denied

her soul carried a little too long

in the shifting fog

She exposed her pains to those who bled

remembering how those tears shed

once welled up  in everyone

She risked the time

and love came back so tremendously

Now she speaks a little more honestly

in name of their waiting need

She’s standing, barely shaking

born back to herself so bravely—

She will change her world

She has no more room for maybe…
