Fraction of Light

I won’t stay this fallen out
yet cannot for long disparage doubt
because for the safer sake of dismay
I must hush my words, adventure delay
Little glimmers of life over me
beneath the weight lies room to breathe
I hold the smallest sparks to this heart—
an instant of awe while I wait on those stars
Will they make new
a sorrowful night?—can they undo
my lost, leaving might?
I won’t remain a shadow silencing herself out
Still it remains a necessary reprieve
to hold my soul closer to a dream…
Little glimmers of life over me
beneath the weight lies room to breathe…
