Heart’s Hollow

…I remember
Imagination’s sweet remnants
There I gather our love
together apart from forever.
When will I lift sorrow up?
She’s disheartened; still she’s heavy
This heart imbalanced
This mind a bidder of time
I cover my emotions with calluses
Never do they sigh with relief
I have a need
somewhere in heart’s hollow
that burns through the rest of me
leaving this fragile shell…
I remember
all I’d rather not gather…
