The Same Pages

A heart not in motion
still she breathes—so emerged in her ocean
Time cascading, thunder of stars
Explore skies near, before you lay your eyes on skies afar
A memory, this moment
torn as to whether or not she owns it
or if something other
owns and holds her
in this shaky state of an unknown dream
or some sullen twist to her unspent means
Is there a way to escape this irrevocable essence?
She was once so quiet, yet so iridescent…
Now thoughts are silenced, spoken over with meaningless phrases
to give rest from the place where her mind turns over the same pages…
She prays her heart won’t hand her over
…that darkness never even knew her…
