Winter Sky

The sky was white and pure and you
Held onto your heart in the cold cold blue
Your tears were frozen as they met the sunrise
Now let them release, the warmth remains inside.

I’ll sing to you under a winter sky
I’ll stay with you when the storm stills your mind
When life is broken and love’s come undone
The silver stars will line your dreams
And you’ll never have to tell them goodbye
For through it all, though the pain fades your eyes
I’ll be with you under a winter sky

The sky was blue and dark and you
Let go of your hopes in the black black hole that consumed;
Your defences broke down in your pause to resume…
Don’t forget you are brave, there beneath the gloom.

The sky was gray and grand and you
Were overwhelmed by the shadows you drew
Out from the silence of your inner world
The words will come, just let them heal.
