Nothing Left

There’s nothing else,
There’s nothing left,
I’m passing by,
The dreams I left,
And somewhere where, the quiet ends,
I reach for your hand,
On the way through the path that bends.

And though your eyes they go asunder,
Standing here I wonder
Why memories can never fade,
And emotions that you thought had changed
Are chased down by the wind,
Only to swirl through and take hold again
Of a reckless mind,
Full of confusion undefined,
Taking hold and leaving me behind,
A shadow of the shell protecting me.

There’s no one else,
There’s no one left,
Only another silent scream,
Only this silent fight inside of me…
